International Day of Action for Women’s Health 28 May 2026

Each year on 28 May, organisations and communities around the world recognise the International Day of Action for Women’s Health. Established in 1987, the day raises awareness of the importance of accessible, safe and high-quality healthcare for all women and girls.

The campaign highlights key women’s health issues including maternal health, contraception, sexual and reproductive health, HIV awareness, and access to healthcare services.

At our GP surgery, we support initiatives that promote women’s health and wellbeing. If you would like advice or support relating to women’s health e.g. contraception, cervical screening, menopause care or any other health services, please contact the practice reception.

More information is available through the NHS Women’s Health Information.
