With the current hot weather, we would like to remind all patients attending the surgery to take extra care when travelling to and from their appointments.
High temperatures can affect anyone, but older adults, young children, pregnant women, and people with long-term health conditions may be particularly vulnerable.
How to Stay Safe During Your Visit
- Bring a bottle of water with you if possible and drink regularly to stay hydrated.
- Wear light, loose-fitting clothing and a hat when outdoors.
- Allow extra time for your journey and avoid rushing in the heat.
- Try to stay in the shade and keep cool before and after your appointment.
- If you feel unwell, dizzy, faint, or overheated before or during your appointment, please let a member of our reception team know as soon as possible.
If You Are Concerned About Attending
If you are worried about attending your appointment during the hot weather, please contact our reception team. Where appropriate, we may be able to change your appointment to a telephone consultation or rearrange it for another date.
