We are aware that many patients have recently received communications from NHS England advising them to contact their GP practice to arrange an RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) vaccination.
Please be reassured that Somer Valley Medical Group is currently delivering RSV vaccinations on a routine basis. At present, our appointment availability is limited by vaccine supply and staff capacity and therefore we are unable to offer appointments to all eligible patients immediately.
You do not need to contact the practice to request an RSV vaccination appointment.
We are identifying eligible patients and will contact you directly when appointments become available. If you have received an NHS invitation and are eligible for the vaccine, please do not worry if you have not yet heard from us. You remain on our list, and we will be in touch as soon as we are able to offer you an appointment.
By waiting to be contacted, you will help keep our phone lines available for patients with urgent healthcare needs.
